WHO: Open to All Current Muskies Inc. Members & the General Public


WHEN: Saturday, September 20, 2025


WHERE: McIntosh Woods State Park, 1200 East Lake Street, Ventura, IA.


TOURNAMENT HQ: McIntosh Woods State Park, 1200 East Lake Street, Ventura, IA.


TIMES: Check-In: 6:00 am–7:00 am / Tournament: 7:00 am-5:00 pm / Awards: 5:30 pm


ENTRY FEES: (per angler paid via PayPal or Venmo)

$75: Muskies Inc (MI) members (renewal date must be AFTER September 20, 2025

$120: Non-MI Members (includes MI membership for NEW members only)

$30: Youth anglers 17 years old & under


REGISTRATION DEADLINE 11:59 PM, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2025


AWARDS: 80% Entry Fee Payout: 1st Place: 40%, 2nd Place: 25%, 3rd Place: 15%


NOTICES: Maximum TWO anglers per team.

For safety, NO single angler teams will be accepted

Forward Facing Sonar (FFS) may NOT be used during this event

Team IDs will be assigned when entry fee is received.

TOURNAMENT RULES





1. Tournament Headquarters (check-in & awards)

McIntosh Woods State Park, 1200 E Lake St, Ventura, IA.


2. Tournament Hours:
Check-In: Saturday, Sept 20, 6:00 am - 7:00 am
Tournament: Saturday, Sept 20, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
Awards: Saturday, Sept 20, 5:30 pm


3. Maximum, two anglers per team. For safety, NO single angler teams will be accepted.


4. Tournament is limited to entrants only. Pre- registration must be done via heartlandmuskies.org using the Entry Forms page, selecting Fallout, no later than 11:59 pm, Sunday, Sept 14, 2025.


5. Tournament entrants will be provided an official tournament sticker which must be applied to an official measuring device and/or must be visible in the measurement picture.


6. All fish must be caught during tournament hours using legal Iowa sport fishing methods for Clear Lake. Fishing outside of tournament hours is an automatic disqualification!


7. All fish must be released unharmed. Two pictures must be taken with one showing entire fish on the measuring device with tournament sticker visible & another of angler holding fish. Pictures must be shown to the tournament staff by 5:30 pm, September 20 prior to awards ceremony & will become the property of Heartland Chapter 10, Muskies Inc. If both pictures are not presented, entry is disqualified!



8. Point System

A 30” fish will be awarded 4 points. In addition, you will receive 1 point for each inch over 30” measured to the nearest inch. Under ½” round down, 1/2" or over round up. ½” measurements will not be accepted! Tie breakers determined by time of catch. Judgment will be at the discretion of the tournament staff.


9. Forward Facing Sonar (FFS) may NOT be used during this event.


10. No alcohol allowed in tournament boats.


11. No live bait. Artificial baits only.


12. Life vests must be worn.

13. All entrants must adhere to all Coast Guard & Iowa DNR safety & fishing regulations, normal angling etiquette & each angler may only fish TWO lines at a time.


14. Any fish killed by an entrant becomes the property of the tournament Staff until after the awards ceremony. Report incident to Tournament Director & a committee member will come pick up the fish.

15. No unsportsmanlike conduct at the discretion of the tournament staff.


16. Entrant boat must not be tied to shore or dock except in case of emergency or safety concerns. If tie-up is necessary, entrants must not fish!
